Brenda Winkeler
Brenda is the founder and Director of Tampa North Volleyball Club. She is starting this new club using her 30+ years of volleyball experiences. For 11 years she successfully coached Division 1 volleyball. As the Head Coach at Eastern Illinois from 2000 to 2004, she recorded an 82-72 record over five seasons. There she helped revitalize a Panthers program, making the NCAA tournament in 2001 playing Arizona State in the first round. In 2004 the Panthers captured a share of the Ohio Valley Conference title. Brenda left Eastern Illinois when she became the Head Coach at Southern Illinois University in Carbondale Illinois. She spent seven seasons as the head coach at Southern Illinois. During that time she led the Salukis to an 85-89 record, and helped establish a school record RPI of 107 in 2009. She has worked as an assistant coach at two Division II NCAA programs as well as consulting and coaching with USAV Club programs in her local areas of Southern Illinois, Austin, Texas and most recently Tampa, Florida. Brenda was a teacher and Head Coach at every level within the State of Illinois system, including Club, High School, Junior College and Division 1 NCAA programs. Her collegiate coaching experiences have included many honors and successes at both the team and individual level. At the NJCAA level she led the Parkland Cobras to a 1999 NJCAA National Championship. Brenda has either been a coach, consultant or founder with a USAV club team in every area where she has lived. This started with her founding and directing of the Prime Time Volleyball Club in 1995 in Champaign Illinois. She has worked and coached with numerous other clubs ever since. This continued passion has led her to begin the Tampa North Volleyball Club. She is currently the Head Coach for the U18 Black and U14 Black teams.

Chris Taylor
Hannah Dominici
Coach Hannah is the Head Coach for our Tampa North U10 Black team. She is a proud product of Charleston, West Virginia and became a Tampa transplant in 2020. She began training as a middle blocker in the 8th grade and continued to play that position through her college career. In high school, she earned 1st Team All-State honors two times and WV Gatorade Player of the Year as a senior in 2012 – the same year her team won the Class AAA State Championship. Additionally, her father became an assistant coach at the high school in 2009 and remains there today (helping the school win two more state championships so far).
At the college level, Coach Hannah competed in the Big 12 Conference for West Virginia University where she earned several Big 12 Conference and WVU honors for her performance on and off the court. She graduated summa cum laude in 2016 and finished her masters in 2017, both in accounting. Additionally, as a senior, she led the team as a co-captain. Throughout her college career, she assisted with a variety of camps and private lessons for younger players.
Currently, Coach Hannah works in Risk Management & Compliance for a large public company in Tampa and is a licensed CPA in two states. Her love of volleyball led her back to coaching in her spare time to help grow the game and develop the next generation of competitors. During the 2021-2022 club season she worked with a U16 team as an assistant. When out of the office or gym, Hannah enjoys traveling, theme parks, the beach, and visiting her family.
Kayla McCarter
Coach Kayla is the Head Coach for the U17 Black team, bringing a decade of experience in volleyball and four years of dedicated coaching at Tampa North. Her extensive background and passion for the sport enhance her coaching approach.
Kayla is a former player for Tampa North during her 18’s year, where she gained invaluable experiences and growth. Since then, she has coached a range of teams from U10’s to U14’s and is certified by The Art of Coaching Volleyball.
Kayla’s volleyball roots are firmly planted at Wiregrass Ranch High School, where she contributed to a district-winning team that competed at regionals. She continues to inspire young athletes as the Head Coach for Wiregrass’s JV team.
Her coaching philosophy is grounded in the belief that “Every person on the team serves a purpose to make the team stronger,” and that “a great teammate builds up not only themselves but also each other.” Guided by the principles of “Hard work equals success” and “Hard work beats talent when talent doesn’t work hard,” Kayla is dedicated to helping each player reach their full potential.
A proud graduate of the University of South Florida with a bachelor’s degree in Health Sciences, Kayla is also preparing to start physical therapy school next fall. With enthusiasm for the upcoming season, she is committed to empowering her players and believes that perseverance and commitment can help them achieve their goals.
Michelle Davis
Coach Michelle Davis is the U16 National team Head Coach. She is originally from Virginia Beach, Virginia. She is a veteran of the United States Marine Corps and a certified group fitness and strength instructor. She has coached volleyball for over the past 10 years and is the current Head Coach at Chamberlain High School. From 2015 – 2018, as the head varsity coach at Wiregrass Ranch High School, she finished with a 50-21 record and was named the 2017 – 2018 Volleyball Coach of the Year for the Sunshine Athletic Conference – East (Pasco County). She previously coached at Carrollwood Day School, Freedom High School, and most recently, Plant High School where she helped lead the Plant High School Panthers to the FHSAA 8A State Finals. She is currently the Head Coach at Chamberlain High School
Macy Bastian
Coach Macy began her volleyball journey at age 12 in west-central Illinois and went on to play six seasons of club volleyball with Eastside Volleyball Club, Iowa Select Volleyball Club, and the last two seasons at Tampa North Volleyball Club. After relocating to Riverview, Florida for her senior year of high school, she finished her career as a setter at Riverview High School with a 16-4 record.
Having played every position on the court, including two seasons as a defensive specialist before transitioning to setter, Macy brings a well-rounded understanding of the game and a unique perspective shaped by a variety of coaching styles and competitive environments. She is passionate about teaching the fundamentals, developing strong volleyball IQ, and helping athletes build confidence both on and off the court.
This will be Macy’s fourth season as a coach and sixth season with Tampa North. Macy has experience coaching teams from U11-U15 and focuses on skill development and foundational training. In addition to coaching club teams, Macy runs the Tampa North Advanced Youth Academy sessions for ages 9-11. She is currently completing her Bachelor of Science in Marketing with a concentration in Market Development at the University of South Florida, while also managing social media for Tampa North and her family owned coffee shop.
Samuel Martinez
Coach Samuel was born in Carolina, Puerto Rico. His volleyball career began at 14 years old, at the club level. He played for various clubs in Puerto Rico, during his teenage career. When the college time arrived, he moved his talents to Boston, MA. Where he played on the men’s club team for Boston University. He graduated from Boston University with a bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering and a minor in Aerospace Engineering. During his time in Massachusetts he also coached at MGA Volleyball Club, Dig Deep Volleyball Club and Weston Massachusetts High School. Now he currently works for Duke Energy as a Mechanical Engineer. He continues to spend his free time coaching the sport that he loves. Tampa North is very excited to welcome Samuel to our coaching staff!
Cesar Ramon
Tampa North is pleased to welcome Coach Cesar Ramon to our team this year. Cesar was born in Mayagüez, Puerto Rico, and since childhood, had a passion for sports. He played baseball and picked up volleyball when he moved to Hollywood, FL at 11 years old. Playing in different clubs and also playing beach volleyball during middle school and high school, Cesar continued to develop his passion for the game and sport. This passion inspired him to study Exercise Science at University of South Florida, where he also plays on the mens Club Volleyball Team, as well as playing in beach and grass tournaments with his friends. Playing volleyball and baseball, as well as studying Exercise Science, Cesar brings a fresh approach to the game, understanding the players’ game experience when coaching, as well as providing new points of view to the players to further develop their game.
Camila Mjtorian
Tampa North is excited to welcome Coach Camila as the new Assistant Coach for our U15 Orange team.
Camila was a standout Libero throughout her club and high school years, competing in the Open Division and even playing up on the U18 team at 17. She’s also coached at All In Volleyball Academy and competed in beach, grass, and indoor tournaments.
Currently a Biochemistry major at USF, Camila brings her defensive expertise, love for the game, and passion for teaching to help her players grow and succeed.
Alexandra Castro Diaz
Tampa North is pleased to introduce Coach Alexandra to our volleyball club. She brings over 13 years of volleyball experience to the court. Alexandra grew up playing for club teams and went on to compete as a Libero/Defensive Specialist for four years at Berea College, an NCAA Division III program in Kentucky. While at Berea, she earned her degree in Education with a minor in Peace and Social Justice, reflecting her passion for learning and making a positive impact both on and off the court.
Recently relocating from Kentucky to Tampa, Alexandra is embracing her new home—especially being so close to the beach! Her energy, experience, and fresh perspective make her an excellent fit for the Tampa North culture.
As a coach, Alexandra emphasizes effort, positivity, and playing with purpose. She believes in developing athletes not only as players, but also as confident, respectful, and resilient individuals. With a coaching style rooted in discipline, teamwork, and leading by example, paired with her genuine love for the game, she is sure to make a lasting impact on her players.
Jamiel Maze
Coach Jamiel is the Assistant Coach for the U16 Black team at Tampa North. She is originally from Cleveland, Ohio. She loves and appreciates all things sports – the athleticism, the discipline and commitment, the excitement and the teamwork. She grew up playing softball, basketball, volleyball and running track through her high school days. In college, Jamiel was on the track and field team and later joined her school’s all girl lacrosse team. Since graduating she has coached track and field at the high school level and has coached volleyball in high school, in local community programs and has spent 5 years coaching at Tampa North.
Allison Osiol
Allison joins the Tampa North coaching staff as the Assistant Coach for the U13 Black team. Originally from Orlando, Florida, she began playing volleyball at age nine and brings over a decade of competitive experience to the program.
Her club career includes four seasons with Orlando Tampa Volleyball Academy, one season with Gamepoint Volleyball, and two seasons with Winter Park Volleyball Club. Throughout her career, Allison has played every position on the court, dedicating seasons as a libero, outside hitter, and setter—ultimately finishing her playing career as a setter. One of her proudest achievements was earning a 5th-place finish in the Open Division at the Northeast Qualifier in Philadelphia.
In high school, Allison was a multi-sport athlete, competing in volleyball, golf, and lacrosse. This diverse athletic background strengthened her time management, problem-solving, and adaptability skills—qualities she now brings to her coaching.
A graduate of Freedom High School in Orlando (Class of 2024), Allison was a member of the National Honor Society. She earned her Associate’s degree from Valencia College and is currently pursuing a Bachelor of Arts in Criminology at the University of South Florida, where she has been recognized on the Dean’s List. She also holds a Certificate in Paralegal Studies from USF Corporate Training and Professional Education and plans to continue her education in law school.
Allison is excited to share her passion for volleyball and help young athletes grow both on and off the court. Her enthusiasm for the game, leadership skills, and academic dedication make her a valuable addition to the Tampa North coaching staff.
Mario Leon
Coach Mario will be the U15 Black Assistant coach for Tampa North this season. He was born in Maracaibo, Venezuela. Coach Mario started his career in volleyball at the age of 12 and became a setter. For 5 years he represented San Francisco with which they won the state championship 3 times and got to represent the state of Zulia in 4 national championships. After moving to Tampa, he stopped playing volleyball until he found out about the Tampa North Volleyball Club. He currently works as an Electrician for Edmonson Electric. He is very passionate about sports specifically volleyball and he is very excited to be part of the Tampa North family!
Grace Dola
Grace Dola is in her first season coaching with Tampa North, serving as the Head Coach for the U14 Orange team. A former Division I athlete, Grace brings 13 years of playing experience to the court, including her time as a middle hitter for the University of South Florida (USF).
A Florida native, Grace played high school volleyball at Williston High School, where she recorded an impressive 900 kills, 592 digs, and 121 aces. Her dominant performance earned her the title of 1A Player of the Year. She also competed at a high level in club volleyball with Citrus Fusion and Gainesville Juniors, qualifying for both USAV Nationals and the AAU Championships.
Grace continued her volleyball journey at USF, contributing as a middle hitter and gaining valuable collegiate-level experience. She is currently completing her bachelor’s degree in Mass Communications with a focus on Sports Broadcasting and News Production.
Grace is thrilled to begin her coaching career with Tampa North and is passionate about inspiring young athletes to pursue excellence both on and off the court
Marianne Temali
Tampa North is pleased to welcome Coach Marianne for our 2025-26 season. She will be the Assistant Coach for the U15 Orange team. Marianne brings passion and competitive experience to the court. A former Outside Hitter in club volleyball, Marianne understands the dedication and technical skill required for success. Currently pursuing a Biology degree with a Medical Concentration at USF, Marianne has a keen eye for detail and the mechanics of athletic performance, skills they already use to mentor family members on their game improvement. Driven by a love for competition, teaching, and continuous improvement, Marianne is committed to helping every player reach their full potential.
Aubree Hummel
Tampa North is excited to welcome Aubree Hummel as a coach for the 2025–26 season. This will be her first year coaching with Tampa North, and she will serve as the Assistant Coach for the U10 team.
Aubree brings four years of competitive club volleyball experience, beginning her career as a setter until her 17s season, when she transitioned into her current role as a libero. As a current sophomore student-athlete at HCC, Aubree continues to compete at a high level while balancing academics. She plans to transfer to a four-year university to further both her athletic and academic career.
Aubree’s on-court versatility, leadership, and deep understanding of the game fuel her passion for teaching young athletes. Driven by competition, growth, and helping others succeed, Aubree is dedicated to supporting every player in reaching their full potential this season. She is excited to begin her coaching journey with Tampa North and looks forward to motivating young athletes to strive for excellence both on and off the court.
Mya Crow
Mya is continuing her journey at Tampa North from player to coach. Coach Mya will be the U11 Black assistant coach for the 2025-26 season. At Tampa North, she spent her 17’s and 18’s seasons, building leadership on and off the court-something that prepared her for her current role as an assistant coach with the same club. Mya has officially started coaching recently working with young athletes through I9 Sports, coaching girls ages 7-9 and helping them build fundamentals while making the game fun and exciting. Volleyball has been a huge part of Mya Crow’s life since she first picked up a ball at 13 years old. From the moment she started playing, she fell in love with the game’s energy, teamwork, and constant challenge. By 15, Mya stepped into the world of competitive club volleyball, where she gained valuable experience playing for various club teams, including Tampa North. Mya also made an immediate impact in high school volleyball. At Gaither High School, she earned a spot on the varsity team as a freshman, proving her commitment, skill, and drive to compete at a high level. For every season she had there, it was a winning record every year for Gaither. Now a college freshman, for her, coaching isn’t just about teaching skills-it’s about passing on the same passion and joy she felt when she was learning the sport. Mya is excited to grow as a coach and mentor while inspiring the next generation of volleyball players.
