Tampa North Mini Club

Mini Club is Tampa North’s fall training program dedicated to our younger athletes. Mini Club plays a big role in the continuous development of our athletes. The training will focus on the developing of individual players skills. Our program is designed to train players of all levels. We work with beginner and intermediate players to create a strong understanding of volleyball fundamentals as well as improve and develop more advanced athletes.

Our Mini Club teams are created with the considerations of both the age and skill level of each athlete. The teams play competitive, local volleyball clubs and experience tournament competition. The goal for these players is to put them on the correct path to play at a higher, more competitive level during their school and regular club season.

2026 Mini Club Details:

• Season: Practice starts August 24th and ends October TBD
• Requires AAU Membership (See information below)
• Placement Session: August 22, 2026 (Current Tampa North players are exempt from placement)
  • All age groups (U10 – U14) from 9am – 10am
• Ages: 8 – 14 yrs old (no High School)
• Practices for 1 1/2 hours twice a week, beginning week of August 24, 2026.
• After Placement, Practice sessions for each player will be determined as one of the following:
  • • U10 Black, U14 Black & U13 Orange:  Tues/Thurs 6:30pm-8:00pm
    • U13 Black, U12 Black & U11 Black : Mon/Wed 6:30pm-8:00pm
    • U14 Orange, U12 Orange: Fri 6:30pm-8:00pm / Sat 9am-10:30am
• All teams will participate in 2 single day tournaments dates
• Season cost is $600/player

2026 Mini Club Tournament Info

• Tournament #1 will be Saturday 9/12 or Sunday 9/13 **
  • Location will be Wiregrass Ranch Sports Complex in Wesley Chapel
• Tournament #2 will be Saturday 10/17 or Sunday 10/18 **
  • Location will be USF in Tampa
• Tournaments for the U13 Black team will be Sunday Oct 11th and Saturday Oct 17th at Game Point in Orlando

** Note:  These tournaments are single day, however which day your team will play on will not be determined until closer to the event when the tourney director releases the playing  schedule 

USAV Age Chart for 2026-2027:

The following Age Groups are determined based on the Player’s birthdate falling on or after each date listed:

For example, If your daughters birthdate is August 23, 2012 she would be in the 14 & Under Age Group. If your daughters birthdate was January 29, 2014 she would be in the 13 & Under Age Group.

• • 14 & Under: Players who were born on or after July 1, 2012

  • 13 & Under: Players who were born on or after July 1, 2013

  • 12 & Under: Players who were born on or after July 1, 2014

  • 11 & Under: Players who were born on or after July 1, 2015

  • 10 & Under: Players who were born on or after July 1, 2016
